New for 2008: Lasher Sport brings the Sport to Lasher Sport with two all new magnesium frame sports chairs-- the Baller Elite and the Tennis Elite. Designed for the player who knows exactly what they are looking for in a sports chair and demands the best. Both chairs consist of magnesium frame construction, aluminum accessories, and titanium hardware. Spinergy SLX wheels with Schwalbe Speedrun tires are standard on the chairs. These new sports chairs are light and nimble, but tough and extremely rigid. With over 6500 powder coat colors to choose from, you can really make your sports chair a one-of-a-kind head turner.
The BT-Mg, BT-Mg-A, and BT-Mg-AS are the first and only magnesium frame wheelchairs on the market! Lasher Sport was looking to create the lightest chair they could design which logically led to using Magnesium as the metal of choice for the frame. Magnesium is by far the lightest structural metal and is 35% lighter than aluminum and 62% lighter than titanium by volume. Magnesium has similar strength properties as 6061-T6 aluminum which means it has a superior strength to weight ratio of any metal. But the frame is only one area of focus. We also lightened the back and seat upholstery by using carbon fiber laminates, we use titanium fasteners in place of stainless steel, the new Spinergy LX wheels for light weight and strength, and Frog Legs Uni-tine forks with titanium bearing ca sters for lightness and great looks. What does all this mean? For starters, it means we have created an Impossibly Light™ wheelchair with a transport weight (weight excluding rear wheels and cushion) of just 8.4 pounds-- that's less than a gallon of milk which weighs 8.62 pounds! The total chair weight is only 15.5 pounds (excluding cushion). This is one seriously light weight chair. So, if weight is of primary concern to you then the BT-Mg, BT-Mg-A, or BT-Mg-AS is your chair.

Lasher Sport introduced the BT-G Tribal during the summer of 2005 at the Abilities Expo in Anaheim, CA. This new frame design uses 1.5" 6061-T6 Aluminum tubing with CNC machined aluminum tribal cutout designs for the caster housing attachment and axle to frame attachment. Strong, stylish, and very light, this chair is on the cutting edge of wheelchair design.
Lasher Sport introduced two chairs during the Spring of 2005; The ultra-light and ultra-tough BT everyday/sports chair and the high-style and ultra-cool BT Ballistic everyday/sports chair. Taking a page from the mountain bike industry, we use 1.5" oversized aircraft aluminum tubes in the frame construction for strength and durability... we think it looks pretty cool too. Our chairs feature fixed rear axles for increased strength which also translates to added weight savings.

No cheap plastic parts on these chairs! All brackets and fittings are precision machined out of aircraft and aerospace aluminum for extra durability. From the frame, to the hand rims, to the caster forks, all our chairs can be custom finished in a variety of ways-- Powder Coating is the standard finish. Similar to paint, but much more durable, there are almost infinite color possibilities to choose from. Anodized in most any color imaginable or one of 11 wildly imaginative graphic schemes. First the chair is highly polished, then anodized through a chemical process that is actually part of the aluminum. Anodizing creates a beautiful finish! Mirror-like shine is for the purist who thinks metal should be shiny. The frame takes on a mirrored effect through meticulous polishing. This finish is high class at it's best!
